yeah I started doing free sites when I first started in the biz and after a couple of years I leaned how to seo them right and the traffic at times from the engines can save your ass from a bad month, great long term traffic and some sales...

Now that I been more into galleries I may scale back from doing free sites to do more galls but I'll never quit building them all toghter...

also anyone from this board is welcome to submit to my LL's - PP dont have quite 500 back links showing in google but its still worth it IMO

also some sites got ripped off on tool bar back links in google, to get a better picture of back links to a site go to yahoo and use the link: before the url I havent checked lately but the last time I had 29k plus back links

Same here, I started with free sites before galleries. The long term payoff was/is great. Unfortunately a server crash lost the majority of free sites I did have going so I lost the payoff from them as well.

I believe I submitted to your site back when I did free sites. I think I had around 50 LL's I submitted to including mine (closed one of them). I think I will make that my news years resolution, get back to building free sites (even one a week will be a benefit, probably try for 3 a week)

its nice to have some free site starters here to BS with, to bad I didnt start back in 98 or 99 with building FS and galls sooon after that, I started doing this in late 02 and you know how your first year goes....you learn and your second year start to make some money

I think I started with free sites in 2000 or 01. Had a nice collection going with a steady flow of SE traffic going through them. Its basically what payed the bills while I was playing around and learning other areas of the biz.

So are the general rules pretty much the same as they were a couple years ago? I have a couple LL's but havent really kept up with any changes in the LL community in regards to shared rules and changes. I should probably get my ass in gear and do some reading before I jump in and start submitting some sites...lol

Free Sites are always good source of traffic well it's not massive traffic but it's filtered, target, and most of it comes from search engines (penisbot, hoes, l-o-r, etc.ect. have big SE traffic)
I'll try to find my bigger list to share with you.

i liked the idea of doing a Linklist, Greenie even gave me a hardlink...

but TGPs were less work and were building traffic fast, so i took the easy way...
