Just noticed that NSCash has dropped their Rev-Share from 60% to 50%. I guess it happened about 2 weeks ago. But I haven't heard anyone mention it yet.
Seems to be a major trend in the industry. OrgyCash totally revamped their program and dropped Rev-Share to 20%-25%. MovieProfits/Wildcash lowered their PPS payouts by $5-$10. And now NSCash. Not to mention all the sponsors that have dropped their affiliate programs altogether. I wonder who's next.
Jun 15, 10 - Revshare Payout Restructure
Dear Webmasters,
Back in 2002 when the adult internet industry was at it's peak and booming with traffic and sales, we made the decision to increase all affiliate payouts from 50% to 60%. We also raised our webmaster referral program from 5 % to 10%. This has been our standard for the last 8 years and higher than most standards in the industry. However, we are currently facing a saturation and continued proliferation of free adult content on the web and a continued recession and economic down cycle.
We have made the decision to restructure our business model both internally and externally in order for us to remain profitable and maintain a viable and healthy long term plan. Part of this re-structuring calls for our payouts to revert back to our original 50/50 model. These changes will be effective immediately. Keep in mind that all previous recurring revshare memberships will still be paid out at 60%. These changes only affect new sales from this point forward.
When times are good payouts go up, when times are bad payouts go down.

I can live with -10% when its a program that always pays on time, like nscash.

we did this for many reasons....like MP said..times are good payouts go up, times are tough payouts are adjusted. We didnt make a huge stink about it and figured any long timer understands how the world works and what happens when the economy and the industry model changes...you change with the times or die in the water...so we adjusted to make everyone happy....
We do pay ontime..i know, me and rhonda handle the payouts for all of you..so be nice...:lol1:
we do have plenty of new things coming down the pipe that will continue to make ppl happy...

Agreed 100%. Maybe people would rather companies raise the payouts, shave like hell, then skip without paying out a month or two of payments.
PEOPLE. Don't pay attention to payout percentages, they mean nothing. Send traffic, watch your $/uniques, and continue sending traffic to programs that render the highest $/uniques. It's that simple, that's the ONLY stat that matters.

quoted for the truth. exactly what i have been saying for years.
remember that "unique" in Donovans post should not be gathered from what the sponsors tell you, but rather on your end.

Correct. That way, you're making an apples to apples comparison between sponsors. Good catch, I should've included that specific.

Smiley, I hope you don't think I was posting this news to bash you guys. I have tons of respect for NSCash. It's one of the best programs in this business.
But this overall trend is major news for affiliates. In the past 2-3 months we've seen big companies lowering payments and closing down. In fact, another one closed today (Perfect Gonzo).
I'm becoming concerned that this is just the beginning. And when the smoke clears the affiliate landscape may be drastically changed. So it's important for affiliates to be aware of what's happening.
Anyways, regarding NSCash, I have nothing bad to say about them. When I was a newb, some of their guys helped me out. It's a good program with good people.

Where's Ramster? :)
On vacation, sort of, in Rhode Island. My daghter's dance nationals are here until July 8th. I forgot all about this to be truthful. Sean (NS Cash) mentioned he might do it but I never even noticed it was a done deal.
