I'm wondering if it is a case of not believing they were for real... ie, how often do you get asked by someone claiming that there car is out of gas and they just need a couple dollars so they can drive it to their daughter's house, etc etc.... if someone came up to you in a walmart asking to sell their baby, I think I would disbelieve it at first too and think it was just a ruse for sympathy donations or something, advanced panhandling 101

Honestly I've seen enough mind boggling shit where I grew up , an I have dealt with pushers, junkies, Con Artists over time to know who is dead serious or not .. To tell the truth I let no one near me then I watch when they leave what they are up too, hey I did security for 10 years it just never left me
