I haven't submitted freesites in about a year. Keep meaning to get back to them. But I never find the time.

I still get sales here and there from freesites I built years ago. The linklists have probably lost some traffic over the years (just like the TGPs). But your best traffic comes from the SEs.

You can put all your freesites on the same domain. I'll usually get a niche domain and put all my niche freesites on it with a hub page on the root.

A freesite is very similar to a gallery, except it's 4 pages instead of 1. First is the Warning Page with the recips. Second is the Main Page with links to the two Galleries. The third and fourth pages are the Galleries.

Freesites are pretty standard. Newbies always come around and think they have some great idea to reinvent the freesite. Don't bother. Linklist owners are often very strict with the guidelines. Just build a basic freesite and you'll be fine.

Just keep in mind that there is only 20 Link Lists (around a bouts) these days worth submitting too and they have all taken a traffic hit, compared to a few years back.

Yes you can still make sales and get long term se traffic but it's nothing like it was a few years ago. There was a great thread recently on GG&J right here (http://www.greenguyandjim.com/board/showthread.php?t=57795) that paints a realistic picture of what it's like as a submitter this year.

LL owners can be pretty strict, so make sure to follow all the rules. Especially stuff like "No Blind Links" and "Only 3 Sponsor Links Per Page".

seems kinda counter productive to direct your blog traffic to another free site instead of the sponsor. I've always held that the fewer clicks that a surfer has to make to the sponsor is better, get em off your page and onto the sponsor. Why give them more clicks, more chances to bounce w/o hitting the sponsor

Freesites for LL were death 2 years ago already. Waste of time and effort to earn what? Additional $300 / month? You better make a blog instead of a freesite. Or just submit galleries, you will get more traffic from TGPs. The whole 4 page freesite idea with 2 galls has seemed retarded to me since the day 1.. surfers want content.. not to navigate through messy link-list sites, then go to a warning page, main page and then click 2 galls.. They can get this on any tgp 100x faster and easier. Link lists are ugly. Waste of time.

Mike... assuming you are going to buy domain names to place Free Sites on? Why not just do blogs on them which you already know.

I agree. I would switch it around. Use some of your freesite traffic to feed your blogs.

80% of your sales from freesites will come from the first two pages (the Warning and Main pages). On the two gallery pages, I'll usually have a link to another site in my network.
