View Full Version : After 10 years I had to put my dog down :(

Within a week her health just went down hill. We tried all kind of testing but nothing worked. When a lab does not want to eat that's a good sign that there is something seriously wrong. Its been a rough day :( my heart is broken at the moment.

Too bad. I have a dog that's about the same age, hope she'll be around a long time from now.

Sorry to hear that. :( I remember when we had to put down the family pet. To this day my parents won't get another pet. On the other hand, when my wife and I were married we had two dogs. I had one of the dogs she had the other. My dog got out one night and I never found her. About 5 years ago, the other one had to be put down. She was old by then my kids had known the dog their whole life. To my surprise, unlike myself and my parents when losing a pet, they handled it well. With in a few months they got a new dog. I don't know if that helped or not. To me it just seemed like a replacement and way to not to deal with the loss. But, in the long run, if it makes it hurt less, why is that so bad?

Again sorry to hear about your loss, I know how difficult it can be. :(

I feel for you. we have a very sick dog on our hands right now. She has tumours and probably won't be around for many more months.

that is sad to hear, dogs are such a source of love and yet their lifespan is so short, so many memories and heartache over the years with our faithful friends we will never forget them

Ban him.

I agree with Donovan, his other posts were pointless, but that one goes overboard in proving his worthlessness to this forum (and probably any other forum he posts his bot-like sig-whoring paid-post garbage on)

please ban him

It's quoted in my post and Meathead's post, if you're able to fix those as well.

So sad. Sorry to hear. I've had to put down two dogs in my life so far. My pup I have now; I have dark little moment where I think about it and get sad for a second. With you though you have to just remember the awesome times he had living with you.

I am so sorry. It hurts to lose a pet. I don't know how I will handle it when my little dog's day comes.
