I was wondering if anyone ever built a Wiki (adult)?

I also wonder if it would be hard to add advertisement to an existing wiki script, and if someone could have the banners and links be relevant to the keywords?

Just got a cool Wiki domains, and would maybe make this my next project!

Thanks

Hey Globo how the heck are ya? Haven't seen you posting in ages.

Sorry I don't know anything regarding this. It sounds like a great concept/idea though. I tried several Google search terms for this and only got results for the main wikipedia dot org site, but I'm sure someone must be well versed on this topic and can help you out.

I'm doing great.....how's everything with you?

I've been pretty much away from the boards..... too busy organizing fetish/kink events! ;)

I remember seeing one a couple years ago, but haven't heard much about it lately, so maybe it failed

That's more of a TGP....

I meant a real Wiki with information about different words or names.

Thanks for the link anyway :)

I believe I could make a Wiki with one of the script, but I do not have the knowledge to add banners or embedded videos on there! :(

MediaWiki is an open source wiki script that you can customize.

Thanks Panky........ just looked at their FAQ, and still do not believe the old man could play with the script!

Maybe it's just a stupid idea I got! lol

I may try to find a WordPress theme that could do something like I want to do instead!

Many thanks! :)

Could you show us?

Or is that a secret? (three can hold a secret when two are dead) :)

Are you talking about adding a page to Wiki or making a site like Wiki? You cannot ad adds to an existing Wiki page only links that are relevant to the model or person in question, in other words you cant just say I have a blog and add you link in on her page.

This is one of ours,

No, I meant making your own Wiki site.....

There's one for anything latex related, and I would like to make something like it, but would like to have the ability to have banners.....and it would be cool to also have the banners appear on keywords in the page..... like adsense...

I would assume if you are hosting it you can do whatever you want with it?

There's many different scripts to makes Wiki sites, but my lack of knowledge to modify CSS leaves me wondering if someone would have already made something a bit user friendly to build.... ;)

I am tackling the idea of having my own Wiki but damn is it hard to get around all the stuff to edit. It may just be an impression but it's even worse than HTML and CSS. :-/

MediaWiki is open source. It falls under free software (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_software). Once you download the source code, you can use it as is or modify the code to suit your needs without restriction.

Is downloading and using all of MediaWiki.org free?

Yes, it is free in the sense of Free software. See Project:Copyrights for licensing issues regarding the written content of this site.

no, the one I saw a couple years ago was a wikipedia clone except it was for adult, and there were quite a few contributors.... it had no ads and was modelled along the real wikipedia type of format

Oops! I had forgot to answer that one! :(

I'm pretty booked these days.....every fridays I'm hosting some "Get Togethers" for Kinksters in local bars in Montreal, and that takes alot of my energies for more drinking, and I keep saturdays for family....

Maybe I should check and see if I could get enough energy on a sunday night! :)
