I've got $2,200 I've been saving up for awhile from board posting and doing epass transfers for people. I was going to use it to buy stories from various adult writers I have met over the years and start a large story blog.

I'm leaning more towards creating a blog with an active toplist and then feeding traffic to it over a 6 month period.

I've thought about buying banner space from joes traffic and then maybe from another broker that offers the same type of traffic.

I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions.

That's a tough one, I have not bought traffic in years...

Mike,

By all means buy plugs. Plugs are generally good for tube sites but could be implemented into your idea. Your typical plug is $40 and depending on what site you are buying from you can expect anywhere from 1,500 to 17k unique hits. The plug appeals to the visitor as they will actually be receiving something they want (in this case a video on your tube site) which makes them happy, and will probably result in a likely bookmark on their end as well.

Just my 2 cents.

if you decide to buy traffic, try to get filtered traffic that would be interested in your site...too many people buy skim traffic and expect decent results...

dont have much experience with blogs, but i dont think i would have bought traffic to it. bought a lot of traffic to some of my sites, but purchased traffic usually only works out as TGP feeder traffic at the best.

If I could find niche traffic on a site that sold banner space that would be best but does anybody have enough traffic on a single niche site to do that these days?

not in a day or two, but traffic can be bought over a much longer term...

banners arent going to bring a ton of traffic, a well phrased text link will get more hits...

have you talked with Ravo at FPCTraffic? ... he might have some solutions..

also, i would not spend the 2200.00 at one time, i would try 200.00 of it first...

I think Mike might be thinking take the money and run while the going is good.

If it were me Mike I would see what I could get with Cyberwurx, that amount sounds like a years dedicated hosting.

I am not saying this is what I would do with a straight $2200 but if I had to spend the points on services this would be my choice.

I wouldn't spend it all at traffic brokers. Try to create a mix, buy some banner spots, blog posts, hardlinks etc.

well. I was told in a public thread that my money was safe so I plan on moving it into an account or someplace else that's safe because I was thinking of spending it before the end of this year.

My case is unique because %90 of that money is epass transfers I did for peeps or from donations to my cure for cancer contest.

Personally, I would divide the money up and test different ways to generate traffic. Test different methods over time.

I really do hope Aga & Meat come through for you on the $2,000+ you're sitting on. At the very least they should cover what was earned for the charity thing you ran over there.

They are streaming video feeds that one can add to a site for additional content. They are common inside members areas of paysites as bonus content, but you can use them for just about any site really.

You can an idea of what they are at Plugin Feeds.

repeating what others have already said:

all time best traffic I ever bought was from traffic-out.com. I think productivity was around 1000%. Skimmed traffic can't touch that

I don't think it will be a big problem. If I have to I will cut a chunk out of it and buy add space from them to push one of my sponsors.

a story blog is a great idea and they do well. but the traffic is usually a bit different (or has been for me) than traditional traffic from sites featuring mostly video or pictures. test the waters like Shemp recommended it took us a while to figure out what traffic worked. But then our traffic is for those that like the mindsex part of it all

I will take your guys advice and start slow. It looks like I will have over $2,500 to mess around with once everything gets transferred.
