I was thinking about how shady some programs turn out to be later on in time and it made me think if i really trust giving my real social security number out on their signup forms, if most dont send you 1090s do they even really need it?

discuss!

yeah, dont think its worth it unless you are doing decent amount of money, be easier to give out fake SSN and just make sure you declare all money you made on taxes, i dunno.

I give out a tax id. Done. I am my own business.

If your an affiliate and your not doing this, your silly. At the very least write off part of your house as an office, and anything else you buy for your business be it a new monitor or what not.

No, not at all. If required, I would only give out a tax ID.

Giving out your SSN can get your identity stolen which would be a hassle to prove find the guilty and also redo all the paperworks.

Tax ID#, if you're in this business and you haven't formed a company for yourself, you're just asking for trouble.

For affiliates from the States we need to send you tax information so we need the SS or Tax Id. As said, if you don't trust it then give the tax id but on some levels USA based sponsors not asking for one or the other from their USA based affiliates would send more alarms up for me.

Absolutely not. The first thing we did was set up an llc and get a tax id.
