View Full Version : Hayden Panettiere is Nice
NOT

"Hayden Panettiere lost her cool at an event in Hawaii over the weekend.
The 19-year-old Heroes star -- who recently split with Milo Ventimiglia because of her club-going ways -- was testy when she first stepped on the red carpet at a fundraiser benefiting the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific Foundation Sunday in Honolulu.
"Back up!" she yelled at photographers.
After posing for photos, she brushed by reporters.
A female television reporter touched her shoulder and asked, "May we talk with you, Hayden?"
Miffed, the actress jerked her head around and screamed, "Don't you ever touch me!"
She then icily asked a red carpet handler, "Oh, am I supposed to do interviews?"
Approaching various media outlets, she snapped again: "You all make my life miserable" and refused to answer any questions.
After the red carpet, Panettiere hung out in a private cabana with Justin Long and his brother. She then moved to a private dining room, where she and Long sat across from one another, chatting for more than an hour."
I guees being in Hawaii will do that to anyone...

I'd probably react the same way after having them in my face 24/7 365 days a year no matter where I go.
It must be maddening!

Yeah, its gotta be tough to go to an event where you have to walk a red carpet in front of reporters and photographers (for a hospital charity) and expect them to want to photograph you and ask you questions! Gasp!!!

Hey, you never know. She might not have even wanted to be there. She is under contract and thus has to make certain appearances.
Besides, if the paparazzi had just been following her every waking moment for a full day (much less a full year)... you'd be entitled to a bad day.
you could be right. If I "had" to attend an event in Hawaii, at this hotel, and then walk in front of some cameras and speak for about 10 minutes about the hotel reopening (it was closed for 7 months of renovations) and the hospital charity this was all for, then I guess I could be having a "bad day"

bah, it's all relative. To you it's paradise. To her it could be another day on the job.

I have to admit - every day I hunt down for the latest Hayden news to post up on my stalker blog. I have photos of her at the airport, the beach; Every fucking event she's ever attended and everything she's ever done.
It's got to be annoying at some point. Hell, a few months ago she went to get her fucking nails done, got mobbed at the front door as she was leaving, causing a huge traffic jam, and had to call the LAPD for support. That's got to suck at age 18. (She's 19 now.)
absolutely, if you are doing personal errands, getting gas (wink wink) and such, and these fucking photographers won't leave you alone, let em have it! But to tell me that this chick flipping out at a bunch of photographers while on a red carpet...to be photographed...in Hawaii...and thats totally cool? mmmmmmmm NO. sorry, not cool.

No reporter should every touch someone to try to get an interview. That is actually assault. I dont blame her for getting pissy.

I she she doesn't get pissy with me when I met her.
In fact, anyone want to come with me? She's going to be a comic / sci fi convention down in San Diego this spring.

I think you're missing the point here. It's not so much that it's ok that she did what she did. It's just that some of us are saying it's understandable.
First, she's just a kid. She's only been really famous for about 2 years now. This is all new to her and it all happened almost over night. It's like one day, the world could care less about her and the next day, she's got reporters camped out in front of her house, every single day of the week.
I don't think the average person can understand what that be like. You can't go shopping, go out to eat or see a movie without being bothered by someone. Everything you do is on camera, everyone is watching.
Now all you want to do is spend some time alone or with your friends because you just broke up with someone. But, you can't because your agent booked you for some charity event you don't know anything about. You've been harassed from the moment you woke up that morning, all through the airport and your arrival, and at the hotel. You also find out that some fucking porn dude that has his own webmaster forum thinks you've got fat arms and has been smashing you for months on his website. To top it all off you were told there would be no questions, it's a small event, just an appearance, a quick walk down the red carpet, and you'll be on your way.
But, you get there and reporters are everywhere! There's no control at this event, there's very little security and one reporter after another is touching and grabbing you. You finally lose it when some reporter grabs you, yet again after you have repeatedly said "no questions."
All, I am saying is that she's just a kid. This is all new to her and to expect to be an 18 or 19 year old girl who now has more money then most people will ever see in their life, who has now lost all her privacy, to expect her to handle this all like a professional every single day is a bit ridiculous. And, the one time she freaks out, she's got people like you that really can't seem to wait to jump all over her and talk shit about it.
She's just a kid and you're basically picking on a little girl. Give her a break. She gives to charities, she saves dolphins, holds a good job and she acts like a "bitch" once and you're and all over her?
I am not a fan of her's, I think she's cute, way overrated, in my opinion but jesus, give the kid a break.
Any ways, that's just my opinion. You're entitled to disagree and hate on little girls all you want. :giggle:

And she knew what she was getting into when she wanted to become a actor.

Dude, she was like 4 when she got in to acting or whatever. And, what does that matter. You can't know what you're getting to. I think I can guess at what it must be like, but I don't know what it's like.
I did security once for some Middle Eastern diplomat once. Me and another guy ran the detail for day. He wanted to go to an Angels game. Now, this dude wasn't a celebrity but, there was at least one reporter everywhere we went, our cars were followed, it was insane.
Now, that was just one day and I wanted to shoot every reporter I saw. But, my point is that you can't really know what its like until you lived it. And, to say, well, "You knew what you were getting in to." I think that's a little unfair. Just because someone wants to be an actor doesn't mean they want to be the center of attention every waking moment.
So there! Damn it!

I have a cold today. :( I was fine yesterday and then as I was playing COD last night I felt a little tickle in my nose. It wasn't my finger, so I knew today I would be sick.
How are you doing bro?
