I don't get this. This might have been true years ago, but not today. I'm running a quad processor with like 4gigs of RAM. I'm running Vista, it never crashes, and every program I open up is instant.

Spend $1500 on a PC and $1500 on a Mac and see which is more powerful.

if you are running 4 giggs of ram on a 32 bit vista - it is only using 3,5 gigs of the ram
and there;s no doubt that vista is sometimes a stabile OS
but compare it with the same configuration on a MAC OS and you'll see what i mean

My Zune works just fine thank-you. I fail to see what relevance that has to the point I was making.

I just found the Mac vers PC video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLbJ8YPHwXM) very kewl and appreciated the homage to Terminator.

I personally think that everyone should use whatever OS/hardware they like and personally could care less what someone else chooses.

Considering all the flop movies he's had, I'd say that photo is just about spot on.

I liked Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction although I found John Travolta's character much sexier.

Spend $1500 on a PC and $1500 on a Mac and see which is more powerful.

Then see which one crashes and freezes more. What good is power if you can't use it.

WinXP is really quite stable. I go weeks at a time without having to reboot. But I'm also very about what careful software I install.

I'm not saying that Mac's aren't good machines, just that you're going to pay more for comparable equipment.

It really comes down to what you do with the machine.

Ya, well you also don't understand why people think a car company who can't even get the paint to stay on their cars is so crappy too ;)

I do sometimes run WindowsXP via Parallels on my Mac so that I can see what my stuff works like on a PC but for Mac users Windows is just another application that can be run at the same time as you are running your Mac programs, Linux programs or just about anything you need all at the same time. I don't have anything against Windows but it is just too limited it what it can do to be running it as my main OS plus I don't like having to mess with my OS and Windows just is too much of hassle to keep running correctly .

Mac out performs.

"The Verdict: Apple
Mac: In both the laptop and desktop showdowns, Apple’s computers were the winners. Oddly, the big difference didn’t come in our user ratings, where we expected the famously friendly Mac interface to shine. Our respondents liked the look and feel of both operating systems but had a slight preference toward OS X. In our speed trials, however, Leopard OS trounced Vista in all-important tasks such as boot-up, shutdown and program-launch times. We even tested Vista on the Macs using Apple’s platform-switching Boot Camp software—and found that both Apple computers ran Vista faster than our PCs did. "

Bahahaha... i love this usual Mac Vs PC war! :P

Just a question... how many people own both???

I have to run my emails off a windows machine due to some encryption software I use, but I do all my graphic design, web dev and audio production... as well as my day to day browsing on my mac. Its just so more user friendly. :D

I no longer own any hardware that only runs Windows but like I said in my other post Windows is just another application that can be run at the same time as you are running your Mac programs, I run run WindowsXP when I need to run Windows (http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/screens&demos/).

Mac has a advantage here over PC because there is a better OS for Mac than for PC and take longer than PC.If you buy a Mac once you will have that all your life.
