How come I am the last one to hear this? I was reading another list of celebs that past and I see Don S. Davis' name on it.

For those that don't know him, he is probably best known for his role as General Hammond on Stargate SG-1. The show ran for 10 seasons, the longest running sci-fi show in history as I understand it. He left after the 7th season I due to health issues.

The following message was provided by Don's representative and his wife, Ruby Fleming-Davis:

Dear Fans and Friends of Don S. Davis,

So many of you have been touched by not only the work and art of Don S. Davis, but by the man himself, who always took the time to be with you at the appearances he loved, that it is with a tremendous sense of loss I must share with you that Don passed away from a massive heart attack on Sunday morning, June 29th.

On behalf of his family and wife, Ruby, we thank you for your prayers and condolences. A family memorial where Don's ashes will be scattered in the ocean will take place in a few weeks, and should you wish to, please make a donation to the American Heart Association in Don's memory.

I found this article about him here...

No shit? I vaguely remember that. Do you remember what I said? Did I cry? Oh wait, was I sitting next to Marcy or staring at Dark Web's wife at the time you told me? In either case I would have just faked paying attention to you. My bad.

missed out on that too. have all 10 seasons and movies on dvd as well as stargate atlantis, wich i think i like better than SG-1. for those of you who also likes Babylon 5, wich is the best sci-fi ever imho, Richard Biggs, or Doctor Franklin as he's called is also dead, along with Andreas Katsulas (G'Kar). Oh how i wish that series never ended
