Is that Line6 amp any good?

Yngwie
11-23-2007, 10:53 PM
and yes, I play guitar. I'm not very good, but I still play. I have a 1950's re-issue fender strat. Used to have an Ibanez EX till I lent it to a friend and never saw it again. Same with my Marshall Valvestate 8080, lent it to a friend and never saw the thing again. Same with my effects processor and my small 20 watt Marshall. Now I'm left with just my Strat. No amp or anything. It sucks shit.

In reference to my last post where I quoted your post. I've heard mixed reviews about that Line6 amp. Some good, a lot bad. I was gonna get one when I had the cash, but I was told to go with a different amp.

I have an acoustic guitar but I haven't touched it in a very long time. Reminds me I should practice it again or I'll lose the touch and feeling of it.

I'm mainly 4 string fretless bass player, but had one 5 string Yamaha a while ago and didnt like it any particularly...

For the money and the features it can't be beat, best amp I've ever used. As far as tones and modes it's like a swiss army knife of amplifiers, and that's what sold me on it. I had an old Crate amp and a Line-6 pod before, and when it came time to upgrade from that, it just seemed to make sense to have all the effects built right in. The only thing I still need to get is the floorboard controller for it. I'm certainly not a pro player, but the endless array of sound combinations that you can come up with on this amplifier is really nice to have. And the amp sounds great even when played "clean". :)
