Since 1998 ive used thumbs plus http://www.cerious.com to organize my pics and create all my galleries. I like it because i can bang off 100 galleries on a saturday afternoon, with almost no effort.
My partner, Orgasmics, swears by Arles, but im too old to change. What programs are you using to make your galleries?
Is there some new program out there that im not aware of?

I hate say it but I use FrontPage. I just make a gallery insert the pic, hit the thumbnail button and it resizes to whatever I have set at. It does really nice thumbs and links them for me.
I can see why people would want to do a batch process but to me it seems like waste of time to have the thumbs because you still have to link them all in the page. That would take me forever to do. While now I do it with just a click and it's thumbed and linked.

I love the Nina.
Someday, I'll get to meet her and say, "Hi Nina, it's nice to meet you finally." Then I'll passout and have to change my nick again to something like AbulletAway Gone Away or Bullet Been Fainting.
I don't have that pic, I love it! Yet another to add to my Nina Shrine.

Hey Bullet?
You were saying something about not making many sales before. Have you checked your pages after you do them with front page? I used to get paid very good money to go through pages for an un-named sponsor program and take out all the "&" signs that front page "corrected" to ; & amp (I did it that way to show up on the page).
It finds them in cgi script calls and changes them from text to html which of course, fucks them up. Lots of sponsor codes have the & sign in them. Might be worth checking. I use dream weaver to build pages, and you can turn off that evil function in the preferences menu.
For thumbnailing, I use photoshop batches, and I organize with superjpg, but am seriously considering ACDC because it can look inside zip files without unzipping them.

For gallery making, I use CD2HTML.
For html editing, I use CuteHTML

I'll have to check it. Ihave that same thing but I never seem to find anything like that. As soon I wake up a little more I'll Find ya on ICQ and see if you can find any of that shit in a one of my galleries. I think I'm either looking it or it's not there in the version I have.

for making thumbs I use Arles (used to use Gallery Maker Pro)
for the html part I use Macromedia Homesite 5.
then when I'm done making the gallery I use Seach and replace to add the gallery html to the recip templates that I have already made, So it takes like 30 seconds to make the other like 40 mirrors of the gallery with the recips. I then use File Renamer to rename the templates (take 2 seconds)

Arles is very popular, i tried it, but i don't like to learn new programs, so i stick with ThumbsPlus. But a large number of webmasters use Arles. :)

Well I swear by arles too :P
Thats for making SIMPLE galleries that are just tables w. thumbnails
For nicer galleries, ie http://porn.sexalicous.com/brittany
I use photoshop and just use the slice tool and it creates the html and walla, tgp gallery
also, i have had a bit of success with photoshops web gallery maker... i heard its killer tho if you can master it, you can design templates of any kind and you just insert variables like %thumbmnail% into your custome made HTML

Hi Shemp
Still using Thumb Nailer
Been meaning to shop around for something new and better. At least check. Of course I still use Dreamweaver. If I were to buy a spot or traffic for a gallery, it would be hand done.
My first post here.
Known as Newfie at some places and pussyluver on GFY

Thanks, good to be here.
Automation and organization is a key element to success, esp for the little guy. I’ll be checking the programs listed in this thread. Have a couple of other Qs for you too. They belong in a different thread though.
You certainly make for a good resource to MediumPimpin! Does sucking up help lower prices on gallery positions?

hehe, no it doesnt, but i think we have a great deal in our $90.00 a month GoldPlus program. You get your galleries listed before all the other gold submitters and just after the Full Price paid spots.

hey Kev, that's what you use for the member's area pages isn't it? (on all the MP sites?) I've been looking for something to batch most of the members area for the paysite I have coming.

I use both Thumbs Plus and Srles but I prefer the thumbnails and image quality from Arles. They both do OK with templates but the thumbs end up being basic tables.
Arles can create HTML pages with a bunch of pictures in seperate directories which is cool.
/originals/1
/originals/2
/originals/3
Thumbs Plus can create HTML from movie files and has this awesome auto-rename function which iwll create setname001.jpg, setname002.jpg and so on.

I tried different thumb programs but size to quality wise I like Photoshop best in Arles the quality is good but the size is 50% higher than Photoshop.
I also use a lot of different templates with different thumbsizes so sometimes it require a bit of cropping.
Just did 200 88x88 preview thumbs for galleries now that is something I would like a program to do for me :)

Im really surprised. The thumbnail gallery was started in early 1998, you would think that someone would have developed a thumb program for adult webmasters, that does 100% of what we need.

well ... in the "FWIW department": thumbnailer for making most of the batch thumbnails for galleries/sites, Arles for batch re-sizing/compressing full size pics and PhotoChop/Image Ready for individual re-sizing and cutting preview thumbnails.
Keyser: i've found the reverse to be the case --Arles will compress a full size pic down to a better quality and file weight than Image Ready would ...

@ shemp
well i have been using arles and enjoying it untill my partner told me about gena 3 weeks ago.
now i use gena everytime as i find it even easier to use than arles there is a large preview window that lets you see what you are doing to the gallery thumbnail image etc
adding Bg colour border colour has better options
if you get some spare time download the trial version and play with it for a while you should really like it :)
here is a gallery i done earlier, i know it is nothing fancy but i am no expert and i made this in less than 2 minutes
