Take your kid to the movie. There is only a few nipple shots and only about 500 dead bodies and gore shots.

I enjoyed it, although I didn't like how they just rolled over and died without much of a fight at the end.
I mean, I can understand it, but yet I still wanted more out of that one scene.

The movie, as a whole, was quite awesome though.

It was like an intro of a computer-game...and a mix of the movies The Gladiator/Lord of the Rings/Troj . The action was really good but as it's all blue-box ... well I still prefer Lord of the Rings if I have to choose

:owl:

Sparta and Athen were the two main cities (polis) of the ancient Greece. They fought the Persians successfully but Alexander the Great (who was Macedon btw) just occupied them both.

Actually yes.

The main character (Leonidas) was played by Scotsman Gerard Butler. His number 2 is Welsh.

David Wenham is Australian.

I was wondering if per chance a Greek actor of note or popularity was cast in the movie.

As much as I love the movie it's the most "ungreek" cast I've seen since the original 300 Spartans.

Your previous post saying that it was "nearby Greece" means either you or your history teachers failed miserably.

Well nope. Megapolis was another ancient greek city. Megapolis is also a term for giant cities like New York

Reprobate yeah I said that it was Greece or it was nearby - so I was right, just a little bit was doubt ;)
TBrown I know what does it mean - Megapolis, cause this term was used in Ancient greece, and now all great cities like NY, Tokyo, Moscow and bla bla bla - are Megapolis! How I know - Megapolis it means a big City - which can be like a little Country! It has a lot of population, a big territory, it has very big and developed infrastracture! It's like an undependable of anything litlle country in a big country ;)
So polis - it means a town or city - like a country! I just googled and found some information, that really Sparta in Ancient Greece was a city-country, town-country, it was a big polis! But in common Sparta and Athens and Corinf together were a big Megapolis!
