A couple of hours ago I just updated the drivers for my vid card. My display appears to be running so much better. Everything is much brighter and sharper. I went to play video using wmp and it's not working. Pretty much the player will just open and then my system rescources shoot up to a hundred and even if I close the player it the resources stay at a hundred and the only thing I can do is just reboot. Any ideas?

AbulletAway I think that you need to reinstall you're codec pack ;)
Another thing could be that drivers were corrupted, bad with some little problems or beta versioned - so you have to find another drivers on the Web - install them and feel good ;)

Sounds kind of strange... have you tried using other players? If it works in other players it shouldn't be a codec problem. I know the windows vista rc2 version of wmp has a similar problem every time i play a video in it, but if i play videos in winamp or media player classic it works fine.

Also, which video card / drivers are you using?

It's quite possible that whatever video card company you're using screwed upt he latest version of their drivers and you'll have to wait for an update. Also, I'd try a Google search for your problem, you'll probably find a few tech forums that have already posted a solution.
