View Full Version : Next month, I will have no car payments...

Laura's PT Cruiser will be paid off next month. My car was paid off over a year ago. I was actually planning on getting myself a new car last year but never got around to it...I think I drove my car around 200 miles last year, so I probably don't need a new one anyway.

Still, if Chrysler comes out with something groovy this year I might do a 2-year lease or something with my dad's employee discount.

We have a car payment for the first time ever.

I'm big on finding something used that is still in excellent condition, paying cash, beating it into the ground for a few years and repeating. But we had to get something bigger and modern (was driving an 88 oldsmobile with 50k original miles on it) so we bought a new mini van a few months ago.

The glorious feeling of being a debtor to no one.

I look forward to the day when the same is said for me.

i'll have my visa finally paid off this month :)

I don't like having credit card debt...as it usually has a higher interest rate than other debt, like car loans. I charged $5k to my VISA this month to prepay for a server, but hopefully that will be paid off next month before it draws interest.

I wish we could pay the house off. That's the big bill that kills ya every month. It would be lovely to only have to pay utilities, insurance, and gas for your vehicle.

I pay about 2k a month on car payments :(
