I'm afraid that I might regret getting involved in this here again, but once again this year, this board did not receive enough nominations to become a finalist...

There was nothing behind Medium Pimpin not being a finalist other than the fact that the other boards that became finalists, Adult Insider, Gay Wide Webmasters, GFY, Greenguy & Jim, Just Blow Me, Netpond, PornCity, WebOverdrive, XNations, and YNOT, all received more nominations from their users than did Medium Pimpin.

It had nothing to do with "We told X-Biz to fuck off over last year, lol looks like it worked!"

Those other boards simply did a better job of encouraging their members to hit the "vote for us" button than did you guys.

I explained this all to you last year (or at least I tried to).

Remember, "XBiz" nominates no one. The webmaster community as a whole does. If parts of that community choose not to participate, they shouldn't be surprised when they don't receive the consideration they might otherwise deserve.

Lots of good boards didn't become finalists. 10 good ones did.

Let me make it simple for the TGP guys: you put a top list on your website that lists "the top 10" - if your #11 referrer then tells you that you suck cuz you didn't list them, how would you reply?

You could say, "If you sent in more hits than the #10 guy, then you would be on the list, but you didn't, so you didn't make it, no matter how good your site is..."

This is of course a valid and correct reason. It won't however keep your #11 referrer from calling you names or not understanding the process...

There's nothing personal in this, at least not from our side. It's just simple mathematics

I forgot to add that we also have a "TGP/MGP" category this year, something that I believe this board suggested last year; and if you look at the finalists, you'll notice shemp.com – and unless I'm mistaken, it belongs to a gentleman associated with this board, further illustrating the fact that there's no animosity between us, at least on our end.

Remember: we don't look around and ask "who's #1 on BoardTracker?" or "Who's #1 on SexTracker?" or "Who bought the biggest ad this month?"

We widely publicize the fact that nominations are open and everyone is encouraged to vote for their favorite program / provider / host / etc. etc.
