View Full Version : Giant Python Swallows Female Deer

A 16-foot long Burmese Python that had recently consumed a 76-pound female deer was found in the Everglades this weekend. The snake was one of the largest ever found in South Florida. I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

either way I always found that impressive that snakes can get something down that size!!

They are one of a number of invasive species breading out of control in the Everglads. Last year one tried to eat an alligator and exploded when the alligator, still alive, clawed through the snake's gut.

Florida is being overrun by invasive species due to people releasing their pets in the Everglads that don't have any natural predators.

Ahhh good to know.. I hate SNAKES but was not aware of this issue did not think they were so out of control there that people could just go around killing them!

Florida has also been removing the Australian pine trees since they aren't native.

I wonder at what point Florida will start removing humans since they also aren't native?

I couldnt imagine coming across this in the wild. I would freak out!
